In 1972 an earthquake destroyed a great part of the old Managua and has left its witnesses up to now. Ruins of houses tell us of the place of wealth and process which faded away. The loss of glory, which suffered the houses goes hand in hand with the history of Nicaragua.

The destruction of many houses gave place to new and different people. The poorest that don’t have anywhere else to go are the ones who searched for shelter in the ruins. They come from all over Nicaragua. What makes them the same is the desire and the dream of a better place to live.
